2nd Postponement of MIDS
from 1-3 June 2020 (Mon-Wed) to 2-4 April 2021 (Fri-Sun)
It is with great regret that we announce to postpone MIDS2020 from 1-3 June 2020 (Monday-Wednesday) to 2 to 4 April 2021 (Friday-Sunday).
We had earlier postponed from April 2020 to June 2020 in the hopes that the Covid-19 situation would be sufficiently contained. Unfortunately, recent newly detected cases worldwide does not show the infections are declining and probably could not be resolved in the short term. This is a major cause of concern as we view the health of all our stakeholders as top priority. This uncertainty situation have made our planning extremely difficult as our event involve 50% international speakers, for instance, earlier we have to change China Wuhan speaker, now South Korea and we don’t know what will be the next country, etc. In addition to that, we also done a survey to all our previous delegates whether they will attend our June event on weekday from Monday to Wednesday but regret to see there are about 70% said no.
In view of this Force Majeure, we have made the decision to postpone to 2021 due to the uncertainty of when the epidemic will be sufficiently contained & public confidence is restored. We know it is frustrating and we are doing our best to address the concerns of many who are worried & has opted to avoid any crowded places.
If you have registered & paid for the event and find the dates unsuitable for you, please let us know and we will process a refund to you. For those who have registered, we will be reaching out to you via your registered email soon.
Once more, we are very sorry for any inconvenience caused. MIDS2020 Secretariat
