Call for Paper - Powders & Grains 2025

  Read the instructions carefully before submitting abstract

• Please create a username and password before submitting the Abstract.
• Abstracts can be submitted for paper and poster presentation.
• The abstract should not be more than 500 words. It should be typed in the box provided on the online abstract submission page.
• One person can submit more than one abstract, but the presenting author must be different.
• The presenting author should be the corresponding author who is expected to be a registered participant.
• Once the abstract is submitted, no revisions/editing will be allowed.
• Notification regarding acceptance of the submission along with the guidelines for presentation will be sent to the author through email provided while submitting the abstract.

Powders & Grains 2025 will cover a range of oral talks and posters addressing both fundamental and applied scientific problems in granular media and suspensions, including:

1. Rheology and constitutive modelling of granular media
2. Kinetic theory of granular materials: granular gas, gas-solid suspension with cohesive & charged particles
3. Jamming, rigidity and shear-thickening transitions
4. Polydispersity, segregation, and pattern formation
5. Geophysical (sand dune, avalanche, ..), environmental (dust storm, aerosols,..) and planetary (accretion disk, impact cratering) granular processes
6. Geomaterials (soil, rock, concrete & minerals)
7. Particulate multiphase flows (fluidization, sediment transport, ..) and porous media
8. Particle-based numerical methods (DEM, MD, DSMC, MPM, Fast Spectral with AI / ML Technique)
9. Experimental methods for granular mechanics
10. Emerging topics: Additive manufacturing & metamaterials, microgravity, tribo-charging and active particles
11. Any others
